--And here we are. What an intricate device it is, and its design is solidly made!

[ On the screen stands a young looking woman in regal red, bright garments. The device is placed at a distance so that the feed can transmit her entire body, and she looks vaguely amused. She gestures with her hand at the surrounding areas, and the slight smile on her face nearly drops entirely. ]

Yet this land I stand upon... Truly, how times have made this land that I once knew as Britannia to fall so low. It is a tragic sight, to think that it was once a part of my Empire, but I get the feeling that the world beyond the Moon Cell is exactly as how this place appears to be. Why, it does not feel as though I have left my own realm at all.

[ And at that, her eyes narrow and glisten with a sharp look. ]

But I know this is not the case. This... Initiative has torn me apart from my Master, and that is a sin I cannot forgive, despite how courteous they were to my presence and readily answering my queries. Hah! Then again, perhaps my situation is punishment for the sin of defeating a misguided Savior to leave the world as is. Yet I do not regret my actions one bit.

So tell me, those who came before, how goes this war that we are all unceremoniously made to participate in?

[Goodness, this lady seems dramatic, like a character from a movie drama! Then again, it'd make sense considering the mention of empires. Anyway, Sheryl raises an eyebrow with a perplexed look at the feed.]

Since when do royals have masters? I thought they rule lands on their own.

Indeed, I did. Though I am without my land, that does not remove my status and bearing as a ruler. As for my Master - taking upon an individual to hold that title is a decision I willingly made.

[ And she says all this with an easy, yet confident smile. ]

I see. It just sounds unfamiliar to me, that's all.

[Actually, she's confused with the whole Master/Ruler relationship, but she's masking it with a smile of her own.]

I have to say, this is my first time meeting someone from royalty.

Truly? Then I find it fortunate to bestow upon you such an honor with my presence. [ Plus, the girl is legit pretty. Don't mind her openly staring. ] I am known as Saber. You are?

My, now I'm feeling honored!

[She laughs playfully with a slight dip of her chin. That's okay, just stare away.]

I'm Sheryl Nome. It's a pleasure to meet you, Saber.

[ Saber loves beautiful women, and men, but women even moreso. It's something she's rather... passionate about. ]

The pleasure is all mine. Are you a participant in this war?

[ Trying to assess whether this girl could fight or not... ]

[As an idol herself, Sheryl is expected to maintain an image, her beauty being among them. Idly tucking some strands behind her ear, she smiles with a thoughtful glance.]

I haven't participated in this one yet, but I've been thinking of singing to the soldiers.

[Better than summoning giant alien bugs, at least.]

Oh? A bard? Hm, though you do not carry yourself as those minstrels would... Ah! A celebrated artist? An idol?

[ Annnnd there goes her attention span. ]

[Ding, ding, ding! Saber guessed the last answer correctly.]

Idol! There's a reason I'm known as the Galactic Fairy.

I have not heard of such a title, but you have my ears wide open for your songs to be heard! I do enjoy a good show!

My songs have been known to catch the attention of many people in the galaxy.

[Some faint laughter from her end.]

[ She gives a hearty clap. ]

[Saber is enthusiastic, so why not put a smile on her face? Closing her eyes, Sheryl rests a hand on her chest as she takes a slow breath, and then sings this — a short and slow version of what's normally a catchy song.]

[ As the song comes to a close, Saber's expression is close to awe and impressed. Once it ends, she gives a clap - and it almost seems like other people are clapping with her, yet the feed just shows the emperor - thunderous, even through the feed. ]

Remarkable! Surely you have the talent that could almost rival the gods, and your title suits you perfectly. That was an excellent performance that successfully pleased my palate.

[It's as though Sheryl has gained an audience with that clapping! She lets out an exhale once she's done, flashing a grin at Saber.]

"Rival the gods"? Oh, my, that's the first time I've heard that! But thank you, I'm glad that you enjoyed it.

I am an avid connoisseur of the arts and its many forms. Songs and other live performances are a passion of mine! You have my own gratitude for indulging in my request.

Just to let you know, I'll be able to do a live performance once I'm properly settled in. Songs are a passion of mine as well, but it's already a given as a singer, right?

[She laughs amiably.]

Are you an artist, too, or just a spectator?

[ Oh, gods, Sheryl, you had to ask her that. ]

Both! Though I am partial to the former, you see. I wrote songs, plays, literature, and even worked my hands with paint on canvas, metalworking, and sculpting! Even then, I was both spectator and participant of many competitive sportsmanship back in my day!

[... WOW.]

You must be quite the busy person to do all of those things, on top of ruling an empire!

[ It's because she was able to rule an empire that allowed for all of that to happen. Not that Saber's gonna deny it all, though. She seems pleased by the reaction. ]

Indeed, I was! But those are the duties I was raised to rule and willingly bore since I took the crown by the age of seventeen. Were it not for the encouragement of, and love for, my citizens, the prospect of leading such a life would have been daunting, yet I persevered for as long as I could.

I don't know... seventeen seems like such a young age to rule, don't you think so?

[Ruling the pop charts can be done at any age, but a country, much less an empire, is a different thing altogether.]

It would be considered like so for the modern era, but even before I rose to power, I was made an administrator over my land's government at the age of fourteen. For one of my social bearing, it was commonly expected to do all this and more.

[ Granted, that's when Saber started doing all sorts of shady business to allocate power, but overall, she was adept at her job of administrating. ]

Fourteen?! My, that's... way young that I expected!

[Culture shock for Sheryl? Sure, you bet.]

I think I'll take back my earlier question.

[ Oh, just wait till she hears that Saber's thirty-years old despite looking so, well. Youthful. Sheryl's words make Saber laugh amicably. ]

And so I shall say that you should live for the moment and enjoy your youth for as long as you can, however you want, songstress. Though it is unfortunate we meet in a time of war, I have confidence your tunes will have the effect you desire.

[After the initial surprise, the singer brings her composure back with a nod of agreement.]

Life is too short not to take advantage of opportunities. We only live once, so we should live however we want to with nothing standing in our way.

[Determined? Yes, that's Sheryl all right.]

It's too bad there's a war going on, but that's more of a reason to try our best to get through it, right?
