[ After much hesitation on his part to address the situation towards those who hold some sort of power here, Aragorn finally decides to step forward and do just that. He honestly believes himself ill fit for such a public role, but he shan't step back and watch from the sidelines anymore.

This may come as a shock for his companions who hail from Middle-earth. Aragorn was hardly the type to step forward and lead, but usually the one forced to lead when no others would. ]

I am Aragorn son of Arathorn, and like many of you I've been drafted by the Initiative. Like you and countless others, we've been taken from our realms in order to fight a war not our own.

[ He finally stated once he realized that the tablet was recording. Aragorn possessed very little love for this means of communication, but for now he'll stomach it. Over time he'll realize just how useful these complex devices truly are but until then, he'll simply think of it as a nuisance. ]

We fight for a nameless cause, yet we're given very little initiative to fight on their behalf. While the rebels had been more than...adequate hosts; it would seem that many of us haven't fully explored this world or understand the reason of our plight. Our realms are in jeopardy by a force greater than our own, yet we know very little about our objective.

Therefore, I seek to know more about the efforts taken to achieve the Initiative's goal, and hopefully form a way for us to further our quest.

[ He paused briefly. ]

Is there anyone here willing to speak openly?

[ And here we go again. Takegami stifles his sigh of annoyance and instead just offers to answer everything he can. So have a rather glammed up Japanese guy on the screen, with a slightly clipped accent and wearing enough jewelry to open his own shop. ]

I do hope you are not trying to recruit for another army. There are several recruiters out there and we do not have need for more.

But if it is answers you wish, I can provide what I can. Mind, most of what I know comes from being here for only ten months and is not considered that much information at all.

[ Yes, he is a little snarky about it. He just is getting tired of this. ]

[ Aragorn was ignorant to all that transpired here thus far, although this doesn't make him any less willing to know. ]

I simply wish to know of what has transpired thus far for the people here to put their faith within the Initiative.

[ Hm, that was not the response he expected. The slight edge to his voice smooths out with a chuckle and a shrug. ]

Yes, although one or two were jokes in response to what others were saying.

[ The netbook was set down on something, letting Takegami have use of his hands to finish making his tea. ]

There is little faith in them among most, although they are the more trustworthy of the two groups living in this world. They have made mistakes and have little idea on how to react with so many people of so many worlds and races and thus there are clashes. I find them tolerable.

Ask away anything you may wish to know. If I have knowledge, I will tell you.

[ These netbooks are really handy, aren't they? Despite Takegami being further away now, Aragorn could hear his voice as loud as day. This wins a thoughtful hum from the ranger since he grows weary of sitting up. Perhaps he could relax somewhat and still keep speaking. ]

Who are those who aspire for power? I doubt either one of us could understand their motivation, but who are they? Surely they realize now is not the time for such pettiness.

[ He grumbles and races his fingers through his tangled mane. ]

Nevertheless, what has the Initiative done in accordance to the war? Are they gaining ground or losing it?

From what I can tell, there are three different types of people trying to gain armies here. The first one is trying to organize us for better tactics on the field and off. The second just wants to find a means to get us home and take it. The third... He sounds as if he wants nothing more than to rule over whoever is left standing.

[ He knows a few names, and faces to go with those names. He just did not feel the need to list them right at the moment; it would ruin his tea. ]

We have gone back in time on several occasions, managing to change this world in subtle ways. One of the things we have accomplished is limit the supplies of mind-altering drugs that leave most humans pliable and docile. A few of the new refugees that are here are testimony to that. I am not sure about the other times, but this place has more life to it now than it did when I first came here.

This is not a war where we face off with our enemies directly for the most part. This is one where we change the world to fight them.
