I never thought I'd be here long enough to see Christmas! Even if that means it's been a while - but, that's not a bad thing either, right? Because we all got to meet here. Oh, not that - not to say that I don't miss everyone at home, either...! But still...

( still, ranka's all pleasure, enjoying her view of the snow and giving the tablet a bright smile. thoughts like that won't bog her down at the moment. )

...and getting to see real snow, too! It's amazing, right?

( ooc: also in case i didn't get to you on the gift meme, ranka's cr can all assume they got cards and earnestly made christmas presents from her. EVEN IF THEY'VE ONLY TALKED ONCE OR SO you can assume at least a card :) also crying i totally am getting back to those masq threads even if it'll be a bit late )

[She states proudly, lifting her head upright with conviction in her gaze for a bit.]

— Except for a way out of here, but I'll deal with this because I'm Sheryl.

( she straightens in turn, feeling some of sheryl's conviction - and then slouches again, a little bit of that taken out of her with the caveat, though she still smiles. )

And maybe, now that you're here, we'll be able to find a way back even faster!

We can do this, Ranka! Count on it.

[How this is going to happen is unknown, really, but Sheryl likes to give out encouragement, especially when Ranka has been here longer than she has. She straightens up her back with a pensive expression, tilting her head a little.]

But now that you mentioned here... that woman told me my voice could be used as a weapon. Apparently it can also evolve and things like that. Do you know anything about this?

Mine is the same! She said I would be able to affect people with it, kind of like with the Vajra.

That doesn't sound too bad.

[But now that Ranka mentioned the Vajra, Sheryl purses her lips briefly.]

Did any of the Vajra appear in this world?

( she shakes her head. )

I don't think anyone's heard of them, either.

I see. This should be a good thing if they're not around.

[Relief in her voice? Yup. She pauses.]

I wonder if your voice had gone through changes yet.

[She rests a hand on her throat.]

[She lowers her hand afterwards, looking in deep thought.]

I can't stand not being able to do anything when I have the power to do so.

( - of course, she should've expected an answer like that. it's one of the first things she ever learned about sheryl, isn't it? she laughs before she can stop herself.

[Her lips quirk up into a playful smile as she leans forward. Let it be said that Sheryl can still tease even in places like Exsilium.]

It's nice to see a familiar face like yours in here. Now I'm not so lonely anymore.

I'm sure! I'm really sure!

( she insists, even if she knows sheryl's teasing by now )

We'll be together now, so no one has to be alone.

[She pulls Ranka into a hug just because.]

( yay hugs! she hugs back, because - it's reassuring, in a few ways, to be able to. )

I should be saying that! It's the best thing that could've happened on Christmas.
