[The face on the screen is very reptilian, with curling horns on the side of his head, yellow slit eyes, and scales with a bronze sheen to them, and his expression is displeased. His voice is dry when he speaks, the first sentence muttered under his breath.]

I hope I'm using this damn thing right.

If this is a dream, it's definitely the strangest one I've ever had.

[He speaks a language that sounds almost exactly like English but with some differences in pronunciation, an entirely foreign word every rare occasion, and with an accent similar to Eastern European. The displeasure on his face doesn't completely fade as he gets serious, wings rustling slightly.]

I am Lord-Governor Kang of Teyr, on the world of Krynn. I've read through some of the information given to me already, and I'll try not to ask too many questions without consulting it first. I apologize in advance if I ask something included in it.

First, are there others from Krynn who are here as well? I've found two already, and in order to avoid further... mishaps, I want to make it clear that I have absolutely no intentions of starting any sort of trouble.

[Please don't hit him with any more chairs or try to kill him. He won't be so nice about it next time.]

Second, I've met one of my 'roommates' already. She has told me that a Lord Prestor is also sharing quarters with us. I would like to formally meet you.

[It takes him a moment to figure out how to end the feed, and the last thing that's seen and heard is a frown and a quiet, mild curse.]

[ Prestor sneers at the screen. ]

You would be very wise to lay your cards on the table, Governor. If there is going to be conflict brewing in the air, I'd rather be prepared for it beforehand.

It seems a logical thing to be concerned about. And of course I would know something you do not, being of that world. Unless you have visited Krynn yourself?

[This is more confusing than anything. Why is this human acting this way?]

I have no desire to start any conflicts, Lord Prestor.

[deathwarder]

[ That much is enough to settle him. While he continues to leer at Kang, he no longer appears on the verge of blowing him up. ]

My apologies. I seem to have misunderstood.

[ And without missing a beat, returning to his earlier smoothness: ]

She is under my care at the moment. But for her strengths, she can be difficult to manage at times. I did not wish to cause a disturbance.

[governorkang]

[He's going to have to watch himself around this human. If he even is human. Something seems off.

He also finds it very insulting towards Onyx that he thinks of her in that way, but only shows it as a slight frown.]

Then we are understood now?

[ You haven't learned the half of it, Kang. To Deathwing, she's as good as disposable property. ]

Of course.

We should talk later. I'm interested in learning more about your world... and I can tell you much of mine in return.

[governorkang]

[Wow, Deathwing, you're a prick. And that's saying something, coming from a draconian.]

I am curious. When would be a good time?

[Hopefully this conversation won't have further misunderstandings.]

[ Careful. He'd only take it as a compliment. ]

I will come when you call... though, perhaps if you'd allow me to get my affairs in order first.

[ Also known as spying on you and gathering as much information as he can first prior to any such meeting. ]

[He has no idea what affairs this guy may need to get in order, and it bothers him, though he doesn't show it on his face.]
