[ Except that’s not actually how he says it, it’s more like: munneh in cards and sayin’ me rifle’s been changed. Sheffield, Yorkshire haunts the streets of Exsilium now, thanks to one Richard Sharpe. ]

The only cards I know of are those given by weasely merchants looking ta fleece more money out of you. But you ain’t asking for money, are you? Yer asking me to fight with me blood and sweat, and you ain’t even decent enough to give me a half-ration of rum, or even a proper King’s shilling.

[ Thud. The sound of rifle on stone ground. There’s a soft shuffling sound and tapping of fingers on the screen of the tablet. The video switches on. ]

Me name’s Richard Sharpe. [ Blond hair, green eyes, a scar on his upper left cheek. His lips are twisted into a scowl, and at the edge of the screen, you can see the edge of his Rifleman’s jacket. Have a picture.

If you met him during the masquerade, he's a lot cleaner now. Face-wise anyway. You can actually see what he looks like underneath the layers of dirt, and his hair isn't just a layer of dust anymore. ]

If yer name's Patrick Harper, I suggest you get yer arse over here before I shoot it off you.

[ Purple skin. Sharpe's less surprised than he would have been if he hasn't already met two people with golden eyes, and one with the strangest ears he's ever saw. ]

( Mia usually refrains from talking on the network, leaving it to the overachieving insomniac Miles Edgeworth to keep a pulse on the transport population.

The video still catches her eye first, and she hits play to see if she's right in her guess as to who this is. Ahh, yes. Major Sharpe, from the gardens at the masquerade.

The rum's not as much of a problem as you might expect, Major. Ms. Small has compiled a respectable list of alcohol serving establishments, if you were interested in me redirecting that your way.

There is a coin system still existing here if you'd prefer that to the debit card they gave you when you arrived.

I'm just sayin' it's mighty rude of 'em ta not get us drunk and tell us a few grand stories 'fore they put us into an army. That's just common courtesy.

It's not the same. There are innumerable differences in the cadence, especially now that she knows to listen.

When the face appears on-screen, she almost drops the tablet. By some miracle, it stays in her hands, her grip on it white-knuckled. ]

[ It's a young voice. Sharpe frowns slightly, his finger tapping lightly on the tablet's surface. It's a miracle he didn't cause some kind of malfunction. ]

I said his name, didn't I? [ He would've said 'daft bastard', if she's sound older. ] He's me Sergeant, that's what he is.

I decided to ask for the money in coins. The card seemed too strange.
