This is really quite seamless, isn't it?
These handheld ta8lets, I mean. They're very streamline and quite convenient! I can see why they would have such a large appeal, even in a place as desolate as this.
Since everything appears to 8e in working order, I suppose I should introduce myself.
My name is Aranea. While I am new to your world, I have take ample time to prepare myself 8efore em8arking further into such an initially confusing environment.
I admit that even I was a little overwhelmed 8y the sudden change in surroundings, and while the aesthetics aren't particularly something I think anyone would wish to 8ecome accustom to, there is a certain charm, perhaps? In the sense that 8eauty can come from the maca8re, or something of the sort. The situation we've found ourselves in is not too far from others I have watched, truth 8e told. 8uilding a civlization out of ruin is no easy task, and while I wouldn't necessarily call this the pinnacle of industry, o8vious improvements have 8een made. It feels to 8e a very functional environment.
Actually, this might 8e the perfect time to have made my appearance! Only 8eing a8le to witness such events and not take part in them was a little frustrating. I am not discounting the value of o8servation, of course, only my own wish to 8e an active mem8er in the historic process.
It is an unfortunate 8eginning, to 8e sure, 8ut the resilience to continue despite hardships feels to me to 8e a very human characteristic. I must express my admiration for this species that I only can profess to knowing in passing. I hope this will not only 8e an opportunity to take part in something truly fascinating and consequential, 8ut also to learn more a8out other 8eings.
Not having the pretext of imminent and eternal annihilation is certainly a perk.
8ut I digress!
Though it may seem a 8it off considering the circumstances, I look forward to taking on this struggle together!
Although, 8efore I forget, I have heard rumors of some local feasting and festivities to 8e taking place this time of your solar sweep. If you don't mind satiating my curiosity as I am nota8ly unaware of the significance, what exactly is happening? What is 8eing cele8rated?

I don't know if you know t)(is or not but...
Meena)( is not exactly t)(e best at not being rude!
Makes it kind of )(ard to get any information out of )(er.
no subject
Yes, Meenah was always the trou8lemaker of our group. It doesn't surprise me that that hasn't changed here.
She can 8e very stu88orn and her attention can 8e difficult to garner, 8ut she means well. Some of the time.

To be )(onest, s)(e seems like all talk to me!
no subject
I would say that counts as some action.

So, in a sense you 8oth helped.

I wis)( I )(ad known I would be kelping someone like )(-ER, t)(en I mig)(t )(ave said no evil ancestors allowed!

She can 8e a test to my patience sometimes, 8ut she is not the same person who ended up conquering the rest of the planet. She actually a8andoned her position in our universe.

But w)(y?
no subject
no subject
Since w)(en does t)(e Empress care about anyone but )(erself?
Also... t)(e MOON? S-EARIOUSLY??
no subject
The Empress that her alternate self 8ecame may 8e a potential facet of her personality, 8ut it is not the Meenah that I played a game with.
And yes, the moon. I thought it was a little dramatic, myself.

Come on, spill! I want to know all about it!

8eforus was a relatively peaceful place. Trolls where I came from all got along. Although there will always 8e some learned prejudice against those who are different, it was nearly insignificant in comparison to the oppression 8ased on 8lood color that you are used to. Anyone with an apparent disa8ility was coddled sometimes to the point of social suffocation.
It was the duty of those of a higher 8lood color to look after those of one further down on the hemospectrum. Given that our lives are longer, we were meant to be har8ingers of knowledge and a8le to protect and care for those that need it.
Consequently, in a game that promotes a more ruthless approach to victory, we were ill-prepared.

T)(at means t)(e -Empress of your world was successful!
T)(at's exactly w)(at I always dreamed of for Alternia.
It sounds nice! A world w)(ere culling isn't somet)(ing to be afraid of.

It was not a utopian society, however, we did have our prawn8lems.
Um. *Pro8lems.
8ut at the end of the day, it left us at a disadvantage. I think, perhaps, there is a happy medium 8oth of our societies could not find.
this is your life, aranea. or your unlife. w/e.
Prawn!! 38D
O)( my cod you used a FIS)( PUN!
T)(at is SO CUT-E!
I'm not sure she's ready for this.
That slips sometimes. I have spent quite a 8it of time with Meenah.
She's 8een ru88ing off on me a tad.

I'm jealous.
