sixth rune; death; audio; dated to saturday morning.
[Koltira's voice is even more guttural than usual, thick with gravel and pain. The strange reverberation is more pronounced, too; it's as though some other spirit hisses in echo of each word he says.]
I ask you--for my sake--for yours--do not come near my lake right now. [he pauses, exhaling raggedly.] Best ... best, in fact, to avoid the area around it in a several mile radius. For several days, at least.
Please.
[another short, gasping breath, and he's done.]
[OOC edit: koltira is now in his blood frenzy. you are free to approach him, action-style, but please keep in mind that the content of such threads may be triggering. death knights are sadists, and their view of violence is inevitably sexualized. OK? OK <3]

Koltira, please--
[ He's interrupted by the sound of another voice, louder in his ears than all else. Martin. That is reason enough for him to look away from Koltira; so he turns, teeth clenched, guilt rising like a flood. ]

panting, he slows, only managing to stop by reach out and lay hands on him, dropping hard on his knees.]
Bariyan, I couldn't...couldn't wait, I just--

It's all right. You did good. I'm sorry-- I'm sorry I had to ask that of you. [ Sorry that he had to put Martin in such a bad place. Arthas first, then this. Bariyan sighs and rests his head on Martin's shoulder. ] I'm sorry....
[ And then he looks up again, to Koltira's retreating back, his own expression pained. Koltira could have done more. He should have. ]

he almost laughs, his face buried against his side, nearly limp with the relief of having him there. he can't see past the presence Bariyan is – can't regard the damage with his eyes closed and his fingers curled against fabric.
he just shakes his head, lifting up and smiling hopefully at him.]
Can we just go back? To the room. Will that be alright? [please?] Will you tell me there? [i want to go.]

Speaking of. Bariyan grimaces and tries to move his legs again, with no more success than before. He looks at Martin, who evidently doesn't know yet. And who's worried.
Bariyan places his hand against the side of Martin's face. ]
Yes. We can go back. It will be all right. [ He inhales, pausing to let his reassurances set in. And then: ] I may... need you to send for help. [ Bariyan grimaces. Another pause. Well, Martin's going to find out one way or another, isn't he? ] I can't walk.
no subject
can't walk? his eyes drop to Bariyan's legs. they're...there. so. so?
his stomach clenches painfully tight as he scans him, his fingers uncurling and reaching, grasping at that damaged arm, a strained sound stuck in the back of his throat. it's just his arm, so...so that's...
he looks toward the trees, feeling utterly cold and lost despite Bariyan's very real presence there. it's incredibly alarming, that. he wasn't paying attention. he didn't...he just does as told and doesn't try to think so far as to...
he still can't get a word out, just another sound, whipping his head back to stare up at Bariyan, his brow quivering.
but. why.]
no subject
Martin, listen to me. I'm fine. It's all right. It'll be fixed in a day or two. [ or... more. anyway. ] Don't worry, please.
no subject
yes, he's...sure. that's what happened before when he'd been hurt. getting better. but.
but he just. wishes he could've stopped it. to have been called to...do something. he can't even think of what right then, just.]
no subject
I won't make you do that again.
[ Gods, he's sorry. ]
no subject
he lets it out in a loud and shaken exhale, dragging the back of his own hand across his eyes and under his nose.
his voice sounds thick, little muffled against Bariyan's leg, but steadier at the start:] Why are...Why're you hurt, where did you go, so...
no subject
bariyan exhales, and ruffles martin's hair. ]
The... fight with Arthas caught up to me. The rest, I'll tell you later.
[ and he hopes to hell that he's made the right choice. ]
