Well, less hiking and more walking all over rubble that's gone everywhere and has weird probably mutant plants growing in it. Which is sort of like hiking. The sturdier the shoes the less likely you'll accidentally break an ankle.

Whatever you do don't tell that one guy who was almost mad all the animals and shit disappeared. He'd want to come, and I don't feel like starting a hiking club.
