Historian (Video)

I have always believed that knowledge can only help us. We are fighting a battle in a history we do not know, and as a result have been buffeted by fate, happenstance, and the whims of the Initiative or United Earth. If we are to be successful in this war, whoever we are fighting, we must know what has come before.

To that end, does anyone know where one would go to get access to this world's history? Perhaps an archive or dedicated library? I have some research to do, and the public library's records seem spotty at best and insufficient for my needs.

Having no immediate better use for my time, I am willing to spend it searching for a map to this war. Even if I don't find it, I will have found a certain measure of purpose and peace of mind.
