Before I arrived in this place, Danko told me that I had died for my freedom. Ironic. Now I'm here. Freedom again. Accepting servitude in one way for freedom in others. Follow the rules, behave. Do as they say.

It is a curse. How could you understand what it's like?

Because I was born with the ability to do something others cannot. I understand what it is like to have others look upon you with fear and distrust.

How do you control it? How do you stop them from hating you, distrusting you, just for trying to help?

My power is... there is no way to shut it off, I have to hold it back like you would suck in your stomach. But I cannot release it, if I do than my power may hurt someone.

[ She looks away for a moment before returning her gaze to him. ]

Sometimes there is no way, people will believe what they want to believe even if you try to convince them otherwise.

What is it that you do?

[ She hesitates for a moment, only brief, before lifting her chin. ]

I can bring a person under my control through a single touch.

That sounds.. interesting. It must be hard, keeping it under control.

Not entirely, I was trained how to control my power since was I was young. Holding it back so I may interact with others without concern is like breathing to me.

But it can... there are moments where it can become difficult.

Is it harder to control when you're hurt, angry? How do you do it?

[ She doesn't answer straight away, instead regards him with an almost piercing stare. ]

I keep a hold of it no matter what, I have no other choice. Unleashing my power is not an option, not unless it is absolutely necessary.

When is it necessary?

[His eyebrows pull together in what seems like concern.]

It depends on the situation, for instance; when someone I care for or an innocent is in danger, or an enemy refuses to give up vital information.

Is it magic?

Of a sort, yes.

What do you mean?

Magic was used initially to create this power, so it is indeed a magic; but unlike most magic which can be access by all only those of specific blood lines are able to use it.

[ A beat and she tilts her head. ]

I have told you much about my power, what of yours? What is it that you can do? What is it that your consider such a curse?
