[it's a minute or so of a melody hummed, something thoughtful, simple. it persists even when she finds what she wants – that there video function, the telltale thing she knows for sure is her window to everyone else floating around with these things.

[squinting a bit:] States are to be different from Nation?

[ohhdeer]

Well.. um. The states.. made up the nation in this case.

[allsongs]

[hmmh. sure, it's a tangent, but every tangent has something new to learn. ain't no thang.]

There is much to say of a United Earth. Is this the same as you speak?

[ohhdeer]

N-No, not at all. Where, or when I'm from, I-- the world isn't at all like that.

[allsongs]

[mm. another lapse, surveying him once more.]

[ another startled motion, setting the charms chiming again. ]
