I have been told to update my musical tastes. I was also told that music by the orchestral group–[ this seems like he's having difficulty with the pronunciation ]–Evanescence–was befitting what was assumed to be my taste.

I cannot find this music on the Internet.

Curiously there are no albums on the Internet that do not pre-date 1999. [ his voice gets smaller, like a mutter to the side. ] I have not yet run out of Depeche Mode albums, so this entire feat seems irrelevant. My music is satisfactory, however–

I require your recommendations, for the sake of curiosity. [ he mumbles something again, though it is in French and off-record. ]–but apparently it must be from the nineties.

Not.. Not fluently. I could probably get by in France if I were ever there, but my accent is awful and I have to-- to think about what I'm saying.

[ he fidgets, blushing and ducking his head. ]

Often I feel like that with English, even if it has been hundreds of years. [ He smiles. ] It does not help that I try not to speak it.

[ Then, after a second--his eyes narrowing somewhat. ]

[ Then, however, his eyes are narrowing slightly further with his displeasure with the nature of those words. ] A collector?

A.. vampire? Really? I-- I've never met a real vampire before.

[ he glances away, nodding slightly. ] Ah.. where I'm from, s-sometimes there are people who.. c-collect.. half-breeds..

I don't think many have. At least, not where I am from.

You are only half human? Is it in a supernatural fashion? [ curious. ]

Still, you'd.. you'd think with every other sort of being I've met, a.. vampire would be one of them.

[ a small, slightly uncomfortable shrug. ] I suppose so. My father was the Green Man. Most half-breeds have an 'other' parent. A.. a god, or demon, or.. monster.. or.. things like that.
