[ the camera flicks on and the image is that of a disused staircase and old iron railing at first. It then swings around showing what could have been a small parlor with the doors forced open and footprints in the dust. There's a soft voice chanting something in Japanese, but for those that know the language, it's basically a polite 'I am coming inside'. ]

It moved around a little but still is what I had found before. [ Takegami pauses and the camera moves over to a wide room, maybe once a small conference room or a ball room. There is a lot of debris swept up into a pile to one side, and sitting in the center of the room is a worn piano that someone has been patching up. ] See?

I was going to make this place into a club. Some drinks, some music, something other than the dull chatter about missions and fluctuating timelines. Something interesting or at least something that is not missions or recruiting armies.

I do think I would need some help with it. I am no carpenter and I hesitate to add that I know little about brewing arts although I can mix up several cocktails from simple ingredients. I would be most grateful for those that can help in that regard.

[ The camera swings around and there is Takegami, stripped down to a pair of worn jeans and a tank top. And for someone that complains he is not a fighter, he has muscles. He also looks sweaty and dusty, but still is smiling a little. ]

You know I kill. You also know that I sometimes snack from the kill. [ He doesn't do it all the time, nor does he do it when he is sure to get caught. Cannibalism is such a taboo after all. ]

It is not. Besides, if anyone here is unusual or weird, it certainly would not be a young lady who can calmly accept someone of my nature.

Maybe because I know people of a worse nature than you. [Maybe because she is one of them.]

Is that so? I suppose within your world of superheroes that is normal, yes?

[A shrug.] Not sure it has anything to do with it. Or if 'normal' really exists. Besides there not only superheroes and supervillains in the world I come from.

Normalcy is something I think was invented by fools. There is little such things in any world, even ones beyond imagination.

[She comes to sit down on the piano stool next to him. She starts playing the beginning of the last piece he played for her. It's tentative but accurate nonetheless.]

[ He watches her play for a moment and then starts on a counter-melody to the song. ]

[She closes her eyes, focusing only on the music. She vaguely remembers learning how to play. Back then, in Adstringendum. She doesn't remember pieces in particular, just how it feels to play.

And when he starts playing with her, it's even more pleasant. As if they were sharing something.]
