Well! There's your general black magics and white magics, but it's more detailed than that, you have loads of different types like general attack spells as well as elemental ones.. defense ones like shields or healing ones.. other support things like being able to fly! Or be invisible or shrink sizes of things..transformations and summoning spells! You name it, there's probably magic of it!

[TBH she just got all of that from a life of reading wizard novels and playing RPGs]

Do you-- well, do you have wizards where you're from, then? Is that how you know of all this? Or are you-- ah, are you a mage?

My Mom was one. I never met her cause of the whole bein' dead for centuries thing, but everyone knew about her dark wytchkraffts. She wrote books about them too!

And.. well, I guess I am now since I have a wand and I have an actual wizard teaching me how to use it properly.

Well.. I learnt to shoot stuff. Like- it can let this bolt of power out that can pretty much shoot a hole through something, it's pretty cool right?
I can fly a bit, or rather just float off the ground a little. But I haven't really learnt anything else from it yet. I don't even know what I can learn.

You can fly? What's the limitations of the spell? Could you eventually fly like-- like a bird?

No, nothing like that! I can just sorta... float a bit? I've never tried like real flying.

It's rather exciting at times. We do have to fight all sorts of monsters and creatures, and he's rather a prat when we have off days, so, you know, either I'm dodging fire-breathing lizards or a cup thrown by m'lord. And yes, I do. I mean, he's here, and I'm his servant, so.

What on earth is a wizard novel about? I mean wizards, yes, obviously, but-- what, do they just go and set right things that were wrong?

Sometimes! Or some- like the one my Mom wrote- has good wizards and bad wizards. I just like them a lot, it's fun to read.
