[ when the video begins, at first, the only thing visible is the backdrop of a room and the tines of what appear to be a small set of little black antlers. the feed shakes a little, as if the one holding the tablet is moving it, before it finally settles, revealing a rather nervous looking face. the figure is a redhead, hair tangled around his (or maybe her, it's sort of hard to tell) antlers, eyes wide and a little animal-like and gold. there's a smattering of white dappling almost like freckles at his hairline, disappearing into the curve of his jaw and presumably down his throat, and he looks like he's two seconds from bolting.

he takes a deep, shaky breath when he realizes he has everything working properly, starts to say something-- and freezes. .. okay, asa, try again. this isn't any more intimidating than anything he's done in the last few weeks, after all, right? the only difference is that.. well, he's so totally alone here.. ]

--Ah-- [ well, that's a start. ] Hello. I-- [ he ducks his gaze, fidgeting a little, ears flicking back. ] My name is Asa. I don't.. suppose anyone knows if a.. I mean, how easy is it to.. tell if someone arrived with you? Also--

[ a glance off to the side, brows drawing together. ] --We really do.. fight here? I'm more of a-- a gardener..

[she's really nervous, isn't she? N isn't the best when it comes to reading humans and their expressions, and even if she most certainly isn't human, her face looks the part-- even so, though, she reminds him a bit of a startled deerling.]

I imagine simply making a post such as this one would be the best way to know if you arrived alone. My friend Ninetales and I were together upon arrival, but our other friends were taken from us... We don't know where they are currently.

[ his ears droop, expression falling as he hears that. so he might not be able to find his brother or friends here. they might still be back-- back home. and if that's the case, how will asa be able to find his way back?

the question startles him, earning a blink and a tilted head. ] 'Sawsbuck'? Ah, n-no, I'm a half-breed. Half-human and half-- well.. something else. [ he blushes, tugging his hair down over his ears. ] .. I know I-- I look like a deer.

[he can't fathom why the apparent half-breed would be so self-conscious about his appearance, but N also knew that his own abilities were enough to scare humans into behaving cruelly towards him as well, so he doesn't doubt this 'deer' has dealt with a lot.

N decides to approach him as if he were dealing with another frightened pokemon, and offers asa a disarming smile.]

I have no intentions or desire to hurt you. I find your appearance to be soothing.

[it reminds him a bit of happier days, when he had dreamed of becoming a pokemon as a child.]

Now then. It sounded as if you were looking for someone?

[ if anything, his blush only darkens at the reassurance. ugh, he hates how shy he can be. he supposes fighting with one's nature is difficult, though.

still, the comment is kind of.. startling. ] --Soothing? [ it's one thing among his brother's people, because the sight of him reminds them that the green man isn't entirely lost. but around apparent humans?

a pause and he offers a small nod. ] My brother and-- and friends. I don't.. think they're here, though. At least, not.. not right now.

[ had those been.. horns? probably somewhat unexpectedly for some, the sight of them actually seems to relax asa somewhat. it's helpful for him to have other people around who look a little different, since in the world he was born in, humans aren't always friendly to half-breeds. ]

Oh. [ it's little more than a breath of sound, but he lifts his head slightly, reaching up to tuck a few strands of hair back behind an ear. ] I-- I'm sort of hopeless with a weapon, actually. It's not really.. in my nature so much.

[ Medusa waits a moment or so before replying after the feed turns on, hair twisting away from her face. She's adopted her calmest expression - though it's not much considering the fact she holds herself in high regard, the lines of her face forming into something more distant than comforting. ]

If they did not arrive shortly after you, most use the network to find those they know from their own world. I have been informed that every month or so more transports arrive - and that there may be a chance that having one individual from a universe increases the chance of more following.

[ so he'll be stuck here at least a month, in a strange place surrounded by people he doesn't know. well.. it could always be worse, he supposes. at least everyone's been friendly so far and no one's tried to kill or imprison him. ] Well.. it.. it would've been nice for someone I know to be here, but-- I guess they're better off back home, anyway.
