Um, hello, everyone.

[He sounds a bit uncertain. Possibly because he’s never talked into a magical piece of paper that will supposedly connect him to dozens of others who’ve been brought here to save a world they’ve never heard of before.]

I, um – I was told that this is the way to contact everyone brought here by the Initiative, like me. My name is Med’an, and…I’m one of the new guys here, I guess.

[This is awkward. What do you say to strangers you’ll be fighting alongside? Wait, he’s done this before…sort of. He marshals his inner hero.]

I – I may not be very experienced in war, but I will help. It’s my duty, back home, and…now it is here too. So – I look forward to working with everyone. Good day.

[That sounded good! Very heroic and professional. And then there’s a few moments of fumbling around trying to turn the magical paper off.]

"Captors' blood"? But....they're not our captors - I mean, they sort of are, I guess...but they're doing this to help their world. They need our help.

Well, I guess that's true...but just because it's not out fight doesn't mean we shouldn't help.

...Besides, we're sort of stuck here anyway. [Not like they can just walk home or anything.] Are people not helping, then?
