The blood samples I had taken from the monsters have disappeared.

[ Inexplicably. All the locks were in place, nothing was visibly tampered with. His dissected cadavers, his DNA samples, blood samples, biopsies, everything. Gone. Without a trace. Not even a scent was left. ]

The monsters vanished as quickly as they arrived. All I have left is my research notes.

Perhaps I underestimated this 'United Earth.'

[ Somewhere between grudging acknowledgement and sheer resentment. Either their presence in the world was timed, or these guys are that good. ]

If the event that caused the creatures to be here in the first place never happened, then their skin samples and blood would never have been here to be collected.

They have apparently been removed from time itself. They never existed, and thus, my test subjects are gone.

Factually, they did exist. They are removed from time itself, but they remain in our memories. Ergo, 'they never existed' is inaccurate.

Semantics. What matters now is that the DNA samples I've taken are now gone. All I have now are hand-written research notes which are now essentially useless.
