[ a gloved hand covers up the camera for a good moment before the holder slowly, but surely, lets it go. when it stays in place, he retracts his hand completely and smiles gently. Larsa doesn't look as regal as he seemed when he arrived--with a warm, dark sweatshirt on (and that's really all that's visible, though he's traded in his stockings and boots for some jeans earlier) that pretty much covers his still-gloved hands, he still looks like he's drowning in fabric. he still looks tiny in the standard issue desk, at barely over four feet, and most baffling of all, perhaps--

he has blueprints and recipes underneath his fingers. ]

Good evening. Forgive any mistakes on my part; though I've learned my way about this device, it proves tricky to operate outside of theory.

I am [ a quiet little pause that really shouldn't be there, because he really shouldn't be thinking about giving a false name, but... ] Larsa Solidor. Having arrived here naught a week past, there's much yet to learn of this new world and its inhabitants.

Upon searching the market, I have yet to find materials I've used in the past. Perhaps it would be too much to assume that others have suffered this exasperation as well. Are there any materials you have found substitutes for, from your home world?

Though days have passed since my arrival, perhaps speaking here would serve to be helpful. If anyone should meet a man by the name of 'Judge Gabranth'--or... no seriously, what. good thing this isn't video, because Larsa's struck still in shock (and even some shame because what can a bitty do but blame himself for what happened?) but after a rather incredulous silence, he is able to keep his voice steady enough to reply. ]

I did nothing. [ well, actually, he stopped his brother from outright killing Gabranth--admittedly after he'd already struck a blow, but, given he put himself in the line of fire for it... ] He is my guardian. He was... injured trying to keep me from harm.

We make quite a bit of use of herbs in my homeworld; for healing poultices... and for poisons.

It's the latter category where I've had difficulty finding the necessary ingredients. I've found a few things that are comparable, but not as effective as what I'm used to.

I am afraid I do not know how to concoct poisons--though herbs and organic material is regularly used for the healing potions I make. At most, in my world, we have a magick that can be cast to poison a creature. [ or another person. ]

Were you able to find ingredients to your healing poultices with ease?

Easily enough. There's an herb here called aloe that seems to be very similar to earthroot, which is what we use for healing purposes in Thedas.

I'm no healer, though, so I don't have a lot of knowledge of all of the various poultices and balms that can be made.

Well, though not as well as I'd hoped. Hoping to soothe anxiety, I found unoccupied time for myself to mix potions--to find that many ingredients I would regularly find at home are sorely lacking here.

I will simply find another activity to take up my time.

Well, I for one have had a pretty tough time! I guess they don't care much for novelties here, because of the war, but it's pretty hard to find confetti, much less colorful confetti, streamers, silk, canes.. nothing.
