All this shit is pretty above my pay grade, so it's not like I'm speaking from experience here or anything, but it seems like we got a crazy ass mix of folks around here. I don't think I've ever seen so many aliens in m life and I come from a world where those guys are all over the freakin' place.

Though I gotta say, it's freakin' weird to be around a bunch of people who've never heard of Kryptonians before. [Just. Throwing that word out there. Vaguely hopeful.]

Anyway. It's late, I'm bored. We've got a shit load of aliens and sword and sorcery types up in here. Tell me somethin' good about your world. Or tell me something shitty, we can swap horror stories.

I guess you could say I'm in the encouraging safety through specific violence sector.

Depending on who you talk to, I'm either a terrorist, or a guerrilla fighter. Considering the guys who'd call me a terrorist are body-controlling jerk slugs from off-planet, I'm more fond of the freedom guerrilla fighter label myself.

( When it's said in such a carefree manner, paired with a wink at the end, it's hard to read how honest a statement that is. )

( Almost tempted to respond with "I know, aren't I?" she doesn't -- in favor of laughing with that particular sort of disbelief people have when they entirely believe you've done something, but at the same time, can't believe you did it. )

Sounds like a little bit of lonely and a whole lot of responsibility.

( She's got empathy for a lack of parental support systems around that time. Granted, she was thirteen when her support fell out, and she had her brother -- she's forever grateful and aware of her own luck.

And in a way, the most terrible parts of her life have led to the best. )

[ He's not so sure about the responsibility. He had tried his best to take care of his mother and she, during her better days- her sober days, tried her best to take care of him, he knows that. He's quiet for a few minutes too long before responding with a slightly forced smile.]

So how much of a wall are you being driven up by being stranded here?

The random spurts of insane fighting balances it out a little, but. I've been climbing the walls since day one, to be honest.

Mmm, now if only some of those were actual rock-climbing walls, at least it's be interesting to watch. Most the time watching people drive themselves crazy ends up being a countdown to the next twitch or fit of pacing.

If there were actual rock-climbing walls I might be goin' a little less crazy.

Not really a lotta boulders in the big city, nah.

You seriously never got out of the city to anyplace worth seeing? Mountains, lakesides, cliffside shores?

Yeah, sometimes. Mostly went there on business with my boss, though, so. Ya know, not really a lot of time to hang around and see the sights.
