[Congratulations, Exsilium, you are now privy to a very close up view of the Avatar's nose for a good ten seconds before she pulls back and faces the camera with a grin.]
Got it. [Throat clear.] So hi. Welcome to the new guys and girls... and other things. You'll find there are some weird things here, but friendly faces are not in short supply, no matter how many eyes they have. It's pretty neat, actually.
I'm Korra, and this-- [camera moves to show a rather large dog/bear hybrid, then back to Korra] -- is Naga. She's a polar bear dog, and we're from a pretty neat world where some people can control an element. That's called bending. It takes a while to master, but it's totally worth it. If you ever wanna see, let me know; it'll be awesome.
Anyway, I want to hear about what your worlds are like, what people or creatures can do there. We're supposed to work together, so getting to know each other's a step in the right direction.
[She pauses, then smirks.] And if anyone wants to spar, I'll be more than happy to oblige.

Let's see. Where I'm from, people can learn magic, which can do all kinds of things, depending on what type you learn. There's also all kinds of people, like beastmen and dragons and elves -- well, I've never actually met an elf -- who can do things that humans can't.
Oh, and my name's Amelia.
Video
[She blinks, curious now.] What's an elf?

Alistair is already making his adorable puppy-loving eyes at it.]
Oh, who's a big fluffy girl!
[...and then he clears his throat, as if he's remembered he's, you know, also talking to the girl.]
Well!
Ferelden has war dogs smaller than your -- Naga, but they're very intelligent.
We've got far less pleasant things, too, but was there something in particular you're curious about?
We do have magic, at least...
[Quick, Korra, ask him a guiding question before he gets distracted by the fluff again.]

As for my world, I come from Asgard, the realm eternal. It is considered mythic by mortals but 'tis quite real--or was, until its fall.

[This causes her to peer at the camera like it might answer her questions.] Eternal realm? What's that supposed to mean?

She's a beauty~! We don't have animals quite as big of that - unless you count the monsters. But the closest thing to a "pet" might be the Exceeds from Edolas - they resemble cats with wings, and they talk. Even when you wish they wouldn't. Particularly the smart mouthed ones.
You must be Asami-san's friend - she mentioned she came from a place with "bending" when I spoke to her. We don't have that, but we do have magic that lets you manipulate the elements, among other things.

I reside in the spiritual realm of my world but occasionally cross to the living realm. The animals there are mostly of supernatural origin like nine-tailed foxes, cay demons, and dream eaters. Most are able to talk and if they're strong enough have a humanoid form they can shapeshifted into.

Polar bear dog. Real creative. [ a pause. ] Uh, by 'element', do you mean, like, hydrogen and the noble gases and protons? Or is there some miscommunication going on here?

[Because she looks like she would be great fun to hug and while he is certainly more partial to cats, he wouldn't say no to one of those!]
So as for this 'bending' of yours... you mention that it is a skill available only to 'some.' Is that due to genetics or some other factor?
[Good job, Korra.]
You're either born a bender or you're not. That's about it.
