01 :: action/voice
[There isn't even a knock at the door.]
[Homura enters her new living arrangements, courtesy of an Initiative she couldn't scrounge together enough energy to give a damn about, not even acknowledging either of the other tenants or their possessions. If her roommates see her, she doesn't acknowledge them in the slightest; still dressed in uniform, bow gripped tight in hand, all that she means to do is make sure the area is secure. She finds the unoccupied room and claims it, locking the door, and investigating it from every angle for hiding and escape spots. Satisfied, she resumes civilian form, and adjusts the bright red ribbon tied in her dark hair. Now sitting on the edge of the bed, she takes the tablet in both hands; first order of business, see what names are there.]
[Her eyes narrow; her lips thin.]
[To the community at large, she sends a simple message, just in voice, which sounds monotonous and sleepy.]
What did the Initiative not tell us in introduction that we should be aware of?
[But to a select few, she sends a second message, with warmer words spoken no less crisply.]
...we need to meet.

...we need to meet.
voice;
Ewerytime they announce they're plannin' somethin' expect like ten things to go wrong at least.
[Exaggerating? Totally.]
voice;
Elaborate.
voice;
I mean we're talkin' towerin' ower the city huge.
So naturally we'd to do ewerythin'. Ain't the first time somethin' has gone wrong either; they nearly erased half of us from existence once from fuckin' with time.
Don't trust 'em if you're plannin' on gettin' anywhere.
voice;
[That they too interfere with time is intriguing. Unwelcoming news as well. But she takes the information with a hard swallow, and certain key words with particular interest. The way he said humans...as if he wasn't one.]
Your name.
voice;
voice;
voice;
Is giwin' your name first such a hassle for you, or somethin'?
voice;
My name's not relevant to this conversation.
voice;
Like that makes any sense at all.
late and still voice;
[And yet somehow she tries to make that sound like a threat.]
