[Alright, so Hawkeye may, in fact, have spent some time going through the device and getting familiar with it, and he may have read up on the situation at hand, but he's not one to run in without a plan. Well, not into all-out war, anyway. He may also have noticed some familiar people in the archives.

Unobtrusive, he stands in a corner of the banquet hall, sending out a short message:]

I heard there's some things that need shooting. My kind of welcome.

I don't get a lot. Mostly face-to-face.

Usually. Sometimes they get lucky.

All that effort to get up close and personal and then they get polite about it.

Yeah, who knew? Though you should hear the nasty stuff I get on my voicemail.

Do you need me to leave you nice voicemails to make up for it? I'll sing you pretty songs.

Not what I had in mind, but that's a pretty good idea, thanks.

He never really struck me as a figurative kind of guy.

You'd be surprised. He gets a little over the top from time to time.

Theatrical, certainly. Dramatic. I refuse to believe you can be the black pirate leader of a super secret spy acronym without either of those qualities in spades.

Well, no. He's always been that way, so I'm used to it. He's no Hamlet, though.
