[ A part of her does appreciate it, but the timing was just horrendous. Seeing Arthas here (feeding herself the hope that there was still something she could do) along with what month it was only further distracts her from the problems of Azeroth.

[Gives a nod at Jaina's reply. That was more like it. The last thing they needed was to give in to the throes of despair, if they went that route it would never end. Varian would merely keep it to himself and hope Anduin was doing fine without him. There was nothing else he could do, and that was just the worst part- being helpless over something.

Varian takes a moment before getting back to his feet, offering Jaina a hand up. She'd been there with them all through thick and thin, it was about time the tables turned ever so slightly and he could see the woman was exhausted.]

[ Taking his hand, she uses most of her own strength (what little she has due to being a mage) to pull herself up, using him mostly to keep herself steady. ]

[Right, that's one mage back up and on her feet with no problems. Though Varian isn't stupid, he knows Jaina-speak. It means she's been overworking herself in the name of helping others. Commendable but stupid at the same time. Varian is the best of hypocrites.]

Overworking yourself will cause more harm than good in the long run, Jaina. I am sure they will hold if you take a time out to eat something.

I do know that King Greymane managed to bring a lot of his lore with him, so you have that to look forwards to. [Not Varian's cup of tea but whatever.]

We are not sure yet, but we have already fended him off from Stormwind once. He will not be so lucky the second time around should it come to it.

Do you think him foolish enough to return to finish the job?

[Has the feeling if Deathwing came back for a second round they would lose more than the Park. It's the worst kind of feeling when all you want is your people safe and sound.]

If his ego is as big as he is, I do not think we'll be seeing Deathwing at Stormwind again.

[Varian folds his arms, not looking very impressed by the whole thing.]

From what I heard, Thrall hung up that mantle and went travelling. Which means the Horde are ten times more dangerous than they were.

[ Oh, was that a slight against her bestie? Because she will fisticuffs over Thrall's honor. ]

Thrall must have had good reason for doing what he did. [ Please, she silently begs. ] Abandoning the Horde to that...

[ Well, time to cut herself short because insulting someone is in poor taste when they aren't there to capslock at you. ]

[ Thrall's reason had to been pressing to leave that man in charge, Jaina's sure of it. This is a lot of take in and she's doing what she can to keep the troubled looks away.

She's failing significantly at it. This is where she should ask if they are at war, but the king brought up his song. Time to be respectful. ]

[Yeah, the troubled looks aren't going unnoticed. There's just not a lot Varian can do to alleviate it when it worries him too. There's no great answers to anything regarding Garrosh or Deathwing that wouldn't keep Jaina up at night.
