I wouldn't necessarily weight inter-dimensional travel against one's will just the same as travel for fun, though I can see the advantages to it.

It shouldn't, in terms of age. It would be foolish to assume that you actually grew one year older when it hasn't been a year.

Nonetheless, it is perfectly acceptable for you to use this as an opportunity to demand for presents and a cake.
