[ After a long search, Takegami has found something he just wants to share with everyone. But instead of showing it to people, he is just going to play it. So enjoy a little piano music over the new netbooks.

Then he will sigh and the video is turned on. The room is disused and dusty, water stains on the walls and various plant life creeping inside. Maybe at one time the room had been full of artwork and elegant furnishings but now it was all crumbling, though a few pieces looked intact. ]

Ah, there. It's back in tune. Do you know how hard it is to tune such an instrument without the right tools? [ The camera swivels around so he can look at all you lovely people and smile. ]

The only question is how to it back to the City in one piece. I don't suppose any of you can help me, can you?

[ He doesn't answer, just starts playing a song.

[ She listens, quiet and settling back in her chair, tablet in her lap. It's nothing like modern music, and certainly not like broadway. Neither of these things are bad.

It's different, and she likes it. Probably not to listen to all the time, but there's something to be said for hearing another person's skill (almost) in person.

At the end, she begins to applaud. ]

That's lovely! What were you singing about?

It's a song written by a heartbroken man to his long lost love.

What makes it one of your favorites?

The amount of feeling in the words and the arrangement sounds so simple without taking away from the voice.

[ She snorts. ]

I don't think about music in those terms! It's something I like, or something I don't. I guess some music makes me feel different, but...

[ She shrugs. ]

I liked it. I'm sorry if I'm not hearing what you hear.

Ah... I see. I suppose I have a different way of viewing music. It might be because of how I grew up surrounded by songs.

I had a radio, and my brother had a whole stereo system. That was pretty much where most my music came from! What was it like for you?

[onemoredeath]

Both my parents played. My mother taught in in secondary school and my father was a musician. My older sister played the cello and my younger brother attempted to learn the tuba. You can say we spent a lot of time playing instruments or having people playing them around us.

Wow, that's a seriously musical family! Did you love it growing up?

Actually no. I was a very bratty child, very troublesome. I spent more than one piano lesson screaming no at my teachers.

[ She can't help herself from laughing. ]

Yeah, okay, I was almost expecting that. I bet it would have been really funny to watch at the time. Imagining you now, it's crazy!

When did that change?

I admit that my parents thought my behavior was very undignified and dishonorable.

I heard someone playing the piano better than me and he was a junior to me in school. I could not let him beat me so I picked up my lessons.

And then?

And then I beat him and I found enjoyment in playing. Of course, it did help that I was introduced to other music than that approved of by my parents.

Parents are pretty big on that whole approving of what you're doing thing. What kind of music did you end up finding back then?

Led Zeppelin.

You're kidding? No way!
