[He hangs up. The next morning he arrives an hour early; to scout the area, check for un-friendlies, and ascertain his way out, if things go south.

Then he picks a strategical area to train in, keeping an eye open at the door.]

[ She doesn't consider the training area dangerous, in general, but she does scout around the back entrance for a bit before she comes in, just taking a quick look to make sure everything's in order and see where he is before she comes in the front and makes her way over to him. ]

[ She'll just skip over her own more specific training in the FBI too. No need for it. ]

Persian Gulf. What do you think you would accomplish in the UE?

That depends on what's out there.

[That question does little to impress him; what kind of trigger happy idiot does she think he is, making a plan without all the intel.]

[ She's dealt with assassinations, more trigger happy idiots than she cares to think about - yeah, not assuming he's not one without more proof. ]

It's heavily fortified in most places. There are parts of the coast it's possible to get through, but still difficult. Within, it's primarily cities and towns patrolled by Masked but unimportant until you reach the capital. Does that help you determine what you would be likely to do?

[What fortifies them, how is it possible, how many men can get through, what's the layout of the cities, what's the layout of the capital, how many masked guard it...so many things he needs to work out before he makes his move.

He can do this. He took down things that would end everybody out there in hours. With the right intel, the right tools, and the right people. He can do this. He's sure of it.]

How would you do that? Slip past the Masked and assassinate the president? Destroy important buildings? Blow up supply depots?

Better intel is needed first of all - recon missions.

There have been two recon missions into United Earth territory.

[ She shakes her head. It's not a conclusion she's thrilled about, but it's still the one they all came to. ]

Both came to the conclusion that a direct strike at them was not a good idea. The Initiative isn't just sending us on missions through time on a whim.

It's sending us to achieve its own agenda. We're not brought in on the planning, or the results - we're just cannon fodder.

Where are the reports of the previous recon missions?

There weren't any. The missions were neither sanctioned nor supposed to happen, officially speaking. We came to our conclusions and they made it clear it was pointless to spread any information.

They teach me that when one method of attack is working - and we are weakening them at least some, I've seen it - going after another hopeless method out of recklessness and revenge is foolish.
