[Chloe's looking a little pale today. Or really pale, and she's already pale enough as it is. It makes her look a little sick and a lot tired.] Does anyone know the number of casualties from the attack?

[There's a pause as her gaze follows something before she returns her attention to the feed. Too many dead bodies. Too many ghosts. It's an uncomfortable feeling.] Or what will happen to the bodies? I-I haven't, um... Gone looking for a cemetery. [Lol, because who would, right?] What I mean is, I... [Oh my God, Chloe, you are an idiot. She clears her throat.] Will they be buried?

I'm sure they will, it is uncommon for groups of people to completely discard the dead. Especially since there is an issue of disease.

[She pauses a moment contemplating the grimaces and the girls words.]

However... if the souls lingering is too much of a problem, they can be forced to the other side....

[She's totally going to comment about the disease thing and all the bodies, but then the other girl talks about forcing them to the other side. Chloe remembers how Margaret got pissed at her for doing that without knowing the consequences.]

No. You can't force them without knowing where you're making them go.

It would be to the afterlife of this world. Though the system would have to be checked, it can't be much different than my own. Once they are at the starting point of a souls journey the natural process should take place. Though I am not particularly interested in going that far, there wouldn't be enough wandering right now to cause an issue. And the forces that govern over such things in this world should be more responsible for it than I. Even in my own world I allowed for discrepancies and souls would wander. The larger issue would be if they hadn't died when they should in the first place.

But you are right in that, you should never do anything to a soul before knowing what would happen to them. They could go to the wrong place and disrupt the system.

I mean, that's easy to say, but who knows what the afterlife really is? Is there a heaven and a hell or an underworld, or do they just float in space? [All questions she's had for awhile now.

Wait. What? She looks vaguely confused.] What are you?

[She offers a pleasant smile.]

I can't say what there is here, as I have yet to investigate that aspect. However, I can speak for what my own world has.

[She paused a moment.]

I am what is known as a Yama, our role is to judge the dead and sort of them. So I can attest to there being a Hell, and Heaven as well as another place, where those due to reincarnate stay and wait.

[This is just. Really weird. She rubs her temples for a moment.] You send spirits on to wherever they belong then?

Yes. Sinners to Hell, the enlightened to Heaven, and everyone else to their next life.

[She chews on her lip.] It must be weird to be trapped here after doing that.

It's a bit strange to be here yes, though not because of what I do, but more it shouldn't have been able to happen in the first place. But, that seems a bit self inflationary to say.

So why do you think the Initiative was able to kidnap you anyway?

I'm not sure, and I haven't learned enough about them to even make a guess. But one can only move forward and see what they can do about the issues before them than worry about what has happened.

[What are the Initiative, if they can bring the dead back to life and drag beings from their own realms?] That makes a lot of sense. But it'd still be nice to know about their technology and how it works.
