No, just that when the average human is confronted with this material that we think is uncomplicated, they tend to recoil inexplicably.

Basically trolls - which are an alien species, what I was before turning into a rainbow drinker - have a variety of blood colors, sorted on the hemospectrum. It's a dark rainbow, with roughly twelve hues. Human blood is relative to this spectrum an improperly bright red -- off it, in other words.

I believe I understand that much, at least. The blood of humans is considered to be an unknown, or perhaps unwanted thirteenth color?

It's a complicated sociological matter, but the general consensus is that such deviations from the hemospectrum can only stem from deletrious mutations in the genes.
