008 ♐ Accidental video : Finally get this ball rolling
[The feed clicks on but it doesn't seem intentional, at least you'd hope it's not intentional because why the heck is Equius shirtless?]
[WELL, I will tell you why! Because he seems to be working on something, I mean, just look at all that glistening nice sheet metal he has piled up in this room. And there's just a huge pile of broken up robots and other machines on his other side. There seem to be a few bent pieces of metal near him as well, though they appear to be purposely bent so, in more rounded shapes. These shapes match the almost hive like hull Equius is walking towards. It's is a mostly rounded off looking cocoon shape, with a small opening that Equius could fit into if he wished to right now. Next to this strange device, is a long, horizontal tube, attached to a rather thick, intricate looking metal base. The tube and it's base are lifted off the ground enough that Equius can lay on his back and slide under it, which he does, after putting on some goggles and metal face mask, pulling on a rather thick looking leather chest guard, and starting up a soldering gun.]
[Soon after there some sparks seen from under the complex looking base of the tub. It is soon accompanied by some other metallic sounds, drilling, and an occasional curse word; something along the lines of "gosh darnit" or "goodness me". The computer seems to still be on, Equius might have accidentally activated the camera on it when he went to go check some digital blue prints. He doesn't notice, even as he slides back out from under the tube and inspects a small compartment on the side of the base, kneeling, and taking his mask and leather guard off.]
Dangit...

Dangit...

[A small grin.]
Or is that just sarcasm?
-What? No. Never. I do not waste my time with petty things like sarcasm.
Heh. I guess I'm glad to hear that. [...] I never introduced myself, did I? I'm Tori, it's nice to meet you.
I am Equius Zahhak.

[Her, on the other hand? ...well, there's a reason she goes by her nickname.]

Ugh, yeah--you're right, some voices can be a major pain, too. [Sigh.] Such is life, and you can't win them all.
Then again... I notice that I usually have more of an issue with voices the less I like the person with the voice. [That's understandable, right?]
Yes, that plays a part, definitely.
Thought so--I mean, if I don't like someone, I definitely don't want to hear their voice. Especially if my name's involved. [Frowns.]
Yes, unfortunately it's a lot harder when you life with them.
Got some bad luck with housemates, did you? Sorry to hear that. Can't say that I don't know what that's like. I don't mind my housemates here, but there's a couple back home I could do without.
Where is "back home" to you? Are you a human?
Earth. Or at least, some version of it. [Sigh.] I've spent most of my life believing I was human--I was recently proved otherwise.
What do you mean by that?
I'm an elemental. There's not much difference between elementals and humans in my world, but apparently enough to for us to be put in separate categories. Pretty stupid, huh?
Anyway, elementals never know they're elementals until their powers emerge. Annoyingly enough, that varies from person to person.
What is an elemental?
The magic elementals use--usually seen as a "blessing" from a goddess belonging to a mostly-dead religion--is either seen as a sixth sense sort of thing or a mutation. Or, well, magic. It depends on individual interpretation, and I think you can tell which one I'm going with.
Magic is ridiculous, such a thing doesn't exist where I am from. It hasn't been something of truth until I came to this execrable place. [Huff.]
...Right. [Adjusts his glasses.]
