[ Scott's made the effort to prop the netbook up on his desk, so when the video flicks on, it has that staged look - he's sitting in his desk chair a few feet back, elbows on his knees and head slightly lowered. But his eyes are locked on the screen, and the general vibe is definitely "not happy". ]

I'm looking for Derek Hale - let me know if you've seen or heard from him. [ There's a beat, then he remembers to have some manners. ] Thanks in advance.

Yeah, crowded places really aren't his thing. [ ... unless he's standing a few yards away and lurking in the shadows, but that seems like a bit too much detail to go into. ] He works out a lot, like - running. He goes running in the woods.

Thanks, yeah - I'll take another look. [ He's been there a few times already, but he's not going to shun an effort to help. But then there's an awkward pause, because Scott's irritation has dissipated a bit - not to calm, but a level of resignation at the fruitless responses he's getting - and now he's actually noticing Wanda's outfit. ]

Sorry, are you like... are you wearing a costume? I mean, not being rude, it's just - you look kind of like a superhero. [ That qualifies as cool, okay. If he were in a better mood he'd probably be grinning. ]

If I focus my powers, I can a bit. It's really more like controlled falling, though.

[ She gets these questions almost never, but she also tends to downplay the whole hero thing after almost killing her team and committing near genocide in a fit of temporary insanity brought on by the Force of Life possessing her.

[ Scott's response is - well, pretty much the kind you'd expect if you told a teenage boy you can kind of almost fly, even if it is a bit muted by his distraction at more serious matters. ]

That's awesome. [ He would say he can jump pretty high and it feels cool, so flying must be ten times as great as that - but, well, even he has the presence of mind to realize it would sound awfully stupid.

But speaking of distractions - he glances to the corner of the screen, and his mood shifts back instantly; somber, more guarded. ]

I'm really sorry, I should go - but thanks again. [ A pause, then quickly as he remembers- ] Crap, sorry, I didn't even get your name. I'm Scott.
