and there's a reason why she took the time to make this voice. it's because she doesn't exactly look ~presentable~]

I suppose I would have bled to death had it not been for...well-timed help. And this does explain the teeth...

[she's trailing off, but easily sets herself back on track and her voice is firm.]

I doubt I will be the last of these attacks. Keep an eye out, fellow transports, there is a beast with a penchant for lances lurking about. He may be young, but he is strong enough to render a door practically useless, and apparently unable to discern friend from foe.

I don't have to, but I want to. And I have a spell that should be able to track him. It will make things much easier on everyone.

It's... not exactly something that can be explained easily. But I'll be able to see a trail and it will lead to whoever I'm looking for. It's not harmful or negative in anyway, and it will be able to help.

But rather than discussing what the spell does here, shouldn't we be using it?

I am not sure that we should. Martin is oversensitive to magic. It may provoke him.

I wouldn't be casting the spell on him, he'd hardly be involved with this. And he's already provoked it seems, the sooner we find him the better.

It does not matter if he is not the target. It hurts him all the same. [ His voice goes flatter, harder. ] I will not see him further hurt.

Then... when I've gotten closer to his location I can stop the spell. I'm not trying to hurt him, Bariyan, but the longer we spend looking the more likely he could hurt others. And eventually someone might hurt him and more than anything this spell can do.

I understand your concern but this isn't just his safety that we have to consider. And if magic effects him more negatively then I'd rather not go alone. Please, reconsider. If we don't find him soon...
