[The feed turns on to a pair of large golden eyes. They pull back just far enough to reveal a dark-skinned face framed in black hair--a woman who looks to be in her mid to late twenties. A large bowl--about the size of a mixing bowl--rests on the seat next to her, the tips of a pair of chopsticks barely visible over the rim; she’d wasted no time raiding the fridge after her arrival]
[Frowning, she reaches out to hit a key on the netbook, clearly not yet at ease with her new communication device.]
They could have better explained how to use this... [She mutters, giving the computer a narrow look as she decides whether or not it’s actually working. Finally, she shrugs, figuring she might as well try.]
I assume everyone got the same story upon arrival. I can’t help but wonder at the fact that people with the power to pull us from our homes without warning aren’t capable of winning a war without our help.
[Her voice is even, with a clear sardonic edge that suggests she’s not quite ready to jump in and be a team player just yet. Still, she’s not rushing to judgment just yet, preferring to gauge the attitudes of others presumably in her situation.]
So, tell me--assuming you all cooperate with our [abductors] hosts--how did they convince you to do so?
[pauses]
And on the off chance there’s anyone here from Seireitei or Karakura, I’d appreciate you contacting me.
[Frowns again, and reaches out to tap the screen.]
Shit, this thing isn’t on, is it?
[She sighs and stands up; might as well go out in her cat form and gather information that way, until she can figure out how to work this stupid thing.]
[That decided, she hooks her thumbs into her waistband and draws her pants off in one smooth motion.]
[Luckily for those more squeamish, her shirt hits the tops of her thighs, keeping this PG-13]

Oh, I suspect she was more than put out.
[On the verge of murderous rage, more likely. Even Yoruichi at her most irrational was no match for Kisuke's zanpakutou.]
[Or so she told herself; the man in question might disagree. She drifts over to her bed, dropping onto it with a sigh.]
I'm thinking I'll sign up for the next mission that comes along. Just to see if it yields any more information.

[Benihime can be utterly terrifying when she gets it in mind to be, Kisuke feels at times as though dealing with her is the equivalent to tightroping over a snake pit.]
[At hearing Yoruichi's plan of action, he lets his brows crease into a small frown as he takes the liberty of perching on the edge of her bed.]
Well in that case, I may perhaps be inclined to see what I can discern here, so that we might cover more ground between us.

[Despite her flippant words, there's a definite undertone of weariness. She's tired of war, all the more so for having been pulled into this one against her will.]
[She bends her legs, resting her chin on her knees. If she looks like she's brooding? Well, she is.]

[He drapes an arm around her and tugs her close.]
Yes and no. This time they have no idea who they're dealing with.
[...of course, the same could be said for them, but he's not about to dwell on that.]
And as far as I'm concerned, after the century we've just survived, I am more than prepared for anything they throw at me. There has to be a way home, and I will find it Yoru.

I know. I just...wish it wasn't even an issue.
[She sighs.]
I'll stop whining. It won't change anything.
no subject
You may whine as much as you feel you need to, you know it doesn't bother me.
no subject
That was as much as I feel I need to. I'll just channel my frustration into other areas.

Are we talking productive or destructive outlets?
