Ruling 1 [Video]
[When the video turns on it shows a young woman with green hair and blue eyes, she instantly sighs as if it had taken her several moments to get the netbook to work.]
While I appreciate the explanation that was given to me upon arrival, and the gentle manner in which an introduction was given, it still did not alleviate me of any unease. I still have many questions and a lot of confusion. Perhaps other "transports" here can help fill me in on what exactly is going on? I apologize in asking, since it really should have been the duty of those here in charge to give me a proper understanding, but this seems like a more efficient way of doing it. Anything anyone can tell me will be enough, even if you may not be sure yourself.
[She pauses a moment, it's unclear if she's going to turn off the transmission or not. But not before long she begins to speak again and offers a kind smile.]
And since it would be rude of me to expect those I have just met to offer information without any in return, my name is Shiki Eiki Yamaxanadu, Supreme Judge of Hell. I would say it is a pleasure to be acquainted with everyone, but I'm not sure if I should make such a bold statement yet. Either way I do hope to be able to get to know everyone and that we may work well together in this environment.

Well, just what questions do you have? Perhaps I can be of some help answering them.
Ah, yes. And I'm Hope Estheim, by the way.

I have many, but I suppose the greatest one is what exactly are we here for, and why do we need a weapon for it? They seem to go through great trouble to offer such a service but do not explain why. It gives a rather cloak and dagger feeling to the whole thing.

As for your questions, we're here to help with their resistance but there is also the notion that the government we are helping oppose is developing technology similar to what brought us here. It was said if they completed it, they could enter our worlds and remove our resources.
As for the weapons, well, missions can sometimes be dangerous. Apparently our weapons are supposed to overcome our shortcomings and grow with us, but much hasn't been explained in way of just how it all works.

Are you some kind of demon?

[She's a bit insulted.]
I am a Yama, a judge of the dead. I am the one who judges souls and decides on where they will go based on their deeds in life. How much time will ones punishment in Hell should be, or if they are ready to go to heaven, I even decide on who should be reincarnated and as what. Demons are simply workers in Hell that serve out punishment along with Oni.

But [cheering up] I'm glad you're not a demon!

video;
I've been here for about six months, so I can try to answer any questions you may have.
video;
If you could be so kind as to... well, help fill in a bit about this place. I would be grateful if you could. The information given was rather lacking to say the least.
video;
To sum things up, though... we've been conscripted to help fight a war against the United Earth -- something the welcome woman told you about, I'm sure. We've been on a few different missions where we've traveled back in time to achieve various goals. There have been different effects on the present because of our actions, though I've not seen anything significant.
Beyond that, our 'benefactors' have shown several times that they're not as competent or organized as they would like us to believe.
