Hello. This is... [ She pauses and huffs a laugh, her calm a little less forced. ] This isn’t how I expected my day to go in the slightest. I have been to alternate dimensions before, goodness knows, but this time around is a bit odd. It’s very organized.

I am. [ The smile disappears into a slight frown. ] My name is Wanda Maximoff and I am known as the Scarlet Witch. For a time, I was an Avenger. If there is anyone here from my world, my name may mean any number of things to you. I hope we may speak civilly regardless.

[ Though she’s not getting her hopes up, if the look on her face is any indication. ]

Why are you known as the Scarlet Witch?

It was an alias I chose for myself when I was younger. I've always liked the color and I have certain abilities. It's a bit like magic.

Ah, now it makes sense. It certainly is an eye-catching color.

Could I ask about your... magic?

[peaceinchaos]

Yes. What would you like to know?

What are you... capable of?

[peaceinchaos]

Just about anything, though my powers have... changed recently, so my exact limits I'm not sure of anymore.

Doesn't it concern you, not knowing what you're fully capable of?

At times, yes, but it's not something I'm willing to rush headlong into finding out.

A sound enough decision, I should say.

Certainly. My abilities can be very destructive if not handled properly and a strange world isn't the most ideal place to test my limits.

And yet the Initiative has brought you here with the purpose of fighting in a war for them...

Were they even aware?

I suspect not, no... But then, even so, I still have the means to protect myself and others, even if I can't quite push my limits.

If I'm to understand it correctly, our limits should mean little considering the weapon we're given.

Ah.

Truly? I told them I was quite well armed enough with the powers I already had...

So I was told, though I feel no different than I did on my first day in this city. Of course, I have little... abilities worth speaking of.

Only a small number of days, so far. Though it's a number that continues to grow.

That does seem to be the case. I've spoken with one or two who have been here for several months.

Rather distressing to think about the possibility of myself being in that group.

I would say that you and I would be fortunate enough to have departed before that time ever comes, but I'm afraid it'd be dishonest of me.
