[VIDEO:] [A face comes across the screen that is startlingly white, with large blue eyes that lack pupils. He looks over the device, scowling slightly, before looking into the camera and speaking.]
So, what am I supposed to say here? This whole damn situation is unreal. I can barely fuckin' believe it. "Transport"? More like "canon fodder" I'm sure. This is like some bad dream. Like I fell asleep while watching a bad action movie or somethin'.
I don't got time for this shit. I bet most of you don't, either. I got somewhere to be and someone to find.
...
Is there a red-headed guy with horns here? Big scar on his mouth? Tell him Johnny's lookin' for him.
--
[ACTION for roomies:] [A tall young man enters the apartment, looking angry and a little overwhelmed. He's wearing an old hoodie and jeans that have seen better days, and there's a guitar case strapped around his back. After a few awkward moments of silence, he'll speak up.]
I'm the new guy. Which room's mine?

I'm the new guy. Which room's mine?

[ And really... ]
What about your...
[ She gestures to her own face, then rolls her wrist to flick at the netbook screen. ]
Everything?

[ What is being nosy for $200, Alex. She sounds as curious as she is, though that usually doesn't do much for the people she annoys. ]
no subject
I'm half demon.
no subject
What kind of demon? On your mom's side, or your dad's?

What's an incubus do?
[ Possess writers? Buses? ]
no subject
They're... the guy very of a succubus.
no subject
Ha. ]
Then what's a succubus?

[ And she finds herself laughing, shaking her head. ]
And yes, seriously! Demonology 101 was totally never on my high school curriculum. How does being half demon who seduces people work out for you?
[ She so badly wants to ask if the pale thing really works for that, but bites back on the question just barely before blurting it out. ]
no subject
...It doesn't. I don't think half demons are supposed to exist or somethin'.
no subject
Huh. How old are you?
no subject
I'm 20. Why?
no subject
[ Just don't let her think on the logistics... and then she starts to. ]
When you say half, your mom's human? Or something humanoid but not demonic?
no subject
She's human.
no subject
[ She whistles. ]
On an upside, people who aren't the natives probably won't all hate you just because you're not supposed to exist?
Oh, cool! I thought so, but I wasn't sure. How did she -- uh. I guess your dad didn't decide on the... um, nevermind.
no subject
Yeeeeeah you're gettin' a little too personal there, chica.
no subject
[ She shrugs, looking off to the side -- but unapologetic. ]
But the natives aren't all bad, and you can almost feel bad for them after a while. The longer the Initiative is around, the more of them might never be, or might never have been. Changing the world is mostly supposed to happen going into the future, not the past.
