So, what am I supposed to say here? This whole damn situation is unreal. I can barely fuckin' believe it. "Transport"? More like "canon fodder" I'm sure. This is like some bad dream. Like I fell asleep while watching a bad action movie or somethin'.

I don't got time for this shit. I bet most of you don't, either. I got somewhere to be and someone to find.

[ACTION for roomies:] [A tall young man enters the apartment, looking angry and a little overwhelmed. He's wearing an old hoodie and jeans that have seen better days, and there's a guitar case strapped around his back. After a few awkward moments of silence, he'll speak up.]

Somebody else could probably explain it better, but as far as I understand, we're not really fighting a war.

Like... the Initiative is against the government out there, but they're not attacking them in this time because they're too strong, I guess?

That's why they're using us to do things in the past. Maybe once things change enough that they can win now, they'll really start to fight.

I... kinda did. But just two others, I guess. I dunno, I was still havin' a hard time swallowin' that as it was. But you're right, this stuff happens in books and comic and movies, not in real life.

I ain't been to 'em, I just know they're legit for real. Heaven 'n' Hell. I'm the last guy who woulda believed that, too, and I didn't really have any thoughts to go 'n' visit 'em anytime soon. Now I'm here, and I got no clue how it fits into the grand scheme 'a things.

You know, there's a story where I come from that every star in the sky is a different world. I don't know if it's true or not, but maybe there's not really a grand scheme or anything. Just a ton of different places to explore!
