But is it fireproof?

You never know, this thing could just combust on you when you’re asleep. Burn down the whole apartment structure and a block radius before someone even notices it. People don’t always wake up from excessive smoke inhalation. Sometimes the smoke gets to them first. But… there’s enough of us here that someone is bound to wake up before it gets out of control, right? People not comfortable living in these apartments, maybe? [Shrug, he really doesn’t seem all that bothered by this notion.]

Well, at least these laptops are free. And hey, getting paid to fight in a war? Not bad at all.

Um... old, used by the great-great-great-great-great-some-more-greats grandparents from the old tales, no longer built or owned by almost anyone, out-dated by a few centuries. That sort of thing.

Computers... Well, most don't have computers. It depends on your occupation.

Whatever's related to your occupation, really. Someone who might have a computer might be an Archivist. They'd probably have this antique too along with whatever's been used over the years. Most don't know about that though. It's not a well-loved position.

It's nothing too special! We have computers and movies and things like that, but not exactly like this. It works the same, but I think the technology is different.

Well yeah! They don't have any housing underwater, and even if I did live there, I'd have to come all the way into the city to get food and stuff like that.

You try swimming in the ocean here! The water burns my gills if I stay in there for more than a minute.
