Anyone here know anything about sewing? I have a—suit. It needs altering. It's got a bunch of metal parts too. Don't know if that'll affect anything. [ and a lot of uncovered parts. hence the need for altering. ] We can negotiate a price.
[ a little pause where she seems to debate leaving it there. it's a long shot, but... ]
Is there a record kept of transports? Or a way of knowing who has ever been here?
[ another pause. ]
Thanks.

[Or she can just wrangle Atlas into helping, if more serious metal work is needed, she doubts he'd mind.]

[ a knight's. a kinky fantasy knight's to be precise. ]
You can have a look at it. You tell me.

[She sounds casual enough, even if she's mostly concerned about which option will make Sweet Pea more comfortable, rather than which one is easier.]

I can drop it off. What's your room?
no subject
[She loves Ellie, but still.]

Just the Aussie. There's a flirty American as well, but he's out at the moment, and he usually stops if you smack him hard enough.

[No but really she's just going to tell Ellie to leave the door alone to save anyone having to deal with The Surliest Australian.]
no subject
she really doesn't like it. ]

Hey. [From the bedroom, there's a muffled don't believe anything she tells you! but Ellie apparently isn't going to grace them with her presence. Or maybe she's tied up in there. We'll never know.] Can I get you anything? It shouldn't take me long to figure out whether I can handle the metal work, and you can walk me through what you want.

But she grins at the comment about hot chocolate.] It's an old family recipe. [a beat] Not my family, but still.
[Technically the Pennyworth family, and it's really not the same without the 80% cocoa chocolate that Alfred uses, but it's still pretty good.] Take a seat and I'll get some started.
[As she leads the way into the kitchen.
Apparently someone is in a good mood. The reason for it is probably the girlfriend who's still chilling in the bedroom.]

Thanks.
[ she drops her bag on the counter and grabs a seat, trying not to look as awkward as she feels. ]
no subject
No problem. [milk and chocolate and other vaguely fancy ingredients are set to cook on the stove before Steph takes a seat across from Sweet Pea.] May I?
[with a nod to the bag; even if that's why the other girl is here, it still feels rude to just start rifling through someone else's bag.]

Be my guest. Before you ask, I did not pick it.

Her curiosity gives way to a wry expression, looking up at Sweet Pea for a moment before she finishes her inspection. First, and carefully, she sets the pauldron on the table, checking it for any damage, because that would be something a little beyond her.
The rest of the outfit isn't... terrible (she's seen a lot worse) but her main concern is how little protection it offers in combat situations.]
Are you a meta? [a beat, as she rememebrs that not everyone is familiar with that term] I mean-- do you have powers or anything? 'Cause this is all well and good if you're invulnerable, but if you're just a baseline human you're gonna need a hell of a lot more protection.
[More than just some altering.
Steph would rather start completely from scratch on something like this.]
no subject
No. No one does except in TV and shit like comics. [ a little pause. ] Do you?
no subject
[And with that Steph gets up again, moving back to the stove and the cocoa, though she's still facing Sweet Pea, waiting for her answer.]

Give her a second while she pours the cocoa into two mugs, setting them both down on the table before going to grab a sketchbook and a pencil.
It's only a few seconds before she's seated again, opening to a blank page.]
I like the tunic, but I think it'd work better as a jacket over something a bit more protective. Do you wanna stick with the black colour scheme or branch out a little?
[She's just going to do a rough sketch of a basic black bodysuit with the tunic over the top, though she's changing the front of it to a zipper so that it'll come on and off more easily, giving it two sleeves instead of one, and adding more fabric to the bottom half so that the back can be laced up without losing the way it sits near the figure's legs.]

[ babydoll isn't her friend. sweet pea doesn't know what babydoll is. but she doesn't feel like getting into their messed up relationship with a total stranger. ]

I did a similar thing with my suit, and it's work pretty well for me. [Trying to be a little reassuring.] Do you have any other weapons you want to keep on you?
[Since she can incorporate holsters and such into the design.]
no subject
[ with a shotgun and an assault rifle she's still terrified of she has more than enough. plus the sword. ]
no subject
Yeah, but -- Do you want to holsters or anything as part of the outfit, 'cause I can work them in easily enough?
