I miss home. I know that's normal, I know - I know there's nothing that can be done about it. I try to keep that in mind so it won't get to me so much. Everyone is so nice and helpful, even with everything going on. I'm very thankful, and - I would like to think I have made some friends.

[There's a pause, and he sighs softly. He suddenly isn't sure why he decided to start this feed.]

It's weird... one of the things I miss the most is hearing my language. [a little exhale, followed by a contradictory smile.] I wasn't used to speaking English for so long until I came here.

... Are all of you from English-speaking countries?

I was born and raised in England, though a much different one than what you've seen.

How is it different?

The year was 1875. That should give you enough of an idea on what it was like.

Indeed I am, and much farther than seems to the be the norm, at least.

No kidding. How are you... coping?

I've been able to adapt well enough. All things considered, it's a much better place for me to be in than my previous surroundings.

[which is pretty sad when you think about it.]

Really? You'd rather stay here?

I wouldn't necessarily wish for a permanent stay, especially considering the occasional bombs that are sent to cause our demise.

There is simply very little left for me back in London.
