So the sinister organisation that kidnapped us from our home worlds tries to use our memories to make us fight, but I'm paranoid?

[Speaking of. Katniss hands tremble for a moment before she ties a particularly savage knot. She switches topics with little concern for how jarring that is] Does anyone know what Peeta saw? Some of his memories are...wrong.

[She closes her eyes] I might need some... [help] People might need to keep him away from me for the next little while. I'm going to find somewhere high to wait it out. [because he can't climb things with his metal leg :'D]

[She cuts herself off, shaking her head. She needs to remember how accepting help works. She's never been very good at it]

[Katniss might've been his priority, but Peeta was -- well, Peeta was still important to him.]

[She rubs a hand over her face] Find out - find out what they made him remember. And if it was wrong, tell him the right version. If you know it, that is. Otherwise make Johanna or Finnick tell him.

[She stares at him for a moment, her fingers working to undo one of the knots she tied in her rope] Promise. [Not that his promises mean much, but it's better than nothing.]

[She's one of the only people he can really make promises to -- one of the few people he actually cares enough about to give a damn about promises made to them.]

[She closes her eyes, and then nods] Okay.

[She's almost tempted to hunt him down and make him give her booze, but the truth is that she's scared of running into Peeta. Being strangled sucks] Where'd you get stuck?

[ It's not out of any concern for this Peeta that he asks, any instinct to protect (though that may come later) - but wrong memories are what he's afraid of, has kept himself up the last few nights about. ]

[She's quiet for a moment. She doesn't like talking about this to strangers. But she likes being strangled less]

They changed his memories to make him kill me. If he lived through them again...
