I had not thought myself a likely candidate to be recruited again, least of all by someone who was not Shepard.

There is little that can be done where I was, though I am still uncertain what use they will find of me here. The situation is [a pause] strange.

Once you get used to the time travel, it's just a bunch of people trying to force others to be their soldiers.

If they're going to make us fight for their cause, they could at least be a little more passionate about convincing us it's the right thing to do. Kidnapping? Not a great start to that.

You sound unconvinced of our captor's agenda. [Not that he's convinced either, he's mostly just trying to piece all this crazy stuff together to form a coherent opinion.]

Their methods of recruitment are lacking, to say the least. I am more curious how they encourage those they've taken to stay under their thrall.

As far as I can tell, it's a matter of 'the enemy is even worse'. I can't say whether or not that's true.

[Yet. She'd thought more than once about figuring out if defecting could get them home, admittedly.]

Most of the time that we see Initiative workers, they seem to be panicking.

What do you know of these workers, if I may ask?

Just that they believe in the same cause that the rest of the Initiative does. The theory is that they accompany us to make sure we stay on-task ... when we actually land in the right time, of course.
