Hey everyone.

First, if anyone here knew Ed Elric, he's left us for home. He was my lab partner and friend for the last few months, and I'm going to miss him.

Second: this cold isn't exactly the best environment for plant growth, but plants are an important food group for most of us. I've brought some spectrum lamps for plant growth back from Hydroponics on the base, along with some I built myself. There should be enough to power a small indoor agriculture operation for a while, and I'm working on more with my limited supplies.

Third: I'm also working on compact heaters if any of you ended up in unheated residences. The process is slow without supplies or collaborators, but if current progress holds, five should be ready within the week.

I'll be making my way down later in the month with some more basic equipment, if anyone needs it! And I'd be happy to teach people anything they don't know about the spectrum lamps.

It also might be worth it to ask around! The cold, more than any lack of sun, is going to kill any plants before they can thrive. The locals must have tips, since there's plenty of farming underground, to my understanding!

Keep in mind that a heating system can dry out plants, and then you'll have a different kind of trouble!

Depending on how much space I can get a hold of on the planet, I'd like to bring some basic hydroponic equipment--I haven't yet spoken to Flora about what the soil in the current timeline is like, but with temperature change, it's likely to be, well, not great--and testing equipment. More lamps, specialized fertilizer, bags to grow lettuce in... There's a lot that can be done without anything fancy.

Right. We can acquire water easily...and once we know what the water content is compared to what we need, I can build a filtration system.

Yes, unlike the moon, water is one thing hardly in short supply!

Once we know that the plants here aren't relying on my powers, I'll be able to move down full-time. I've been trained to keep an eye on things, so once we have filtration set up things will hopefully go quite smoothly!

Check with DITR. We brought back a few commercial generators that the lads over with the transporter are using. Between you and a DITR rep, you might be able to get them to lend you one if you need something to cover a gap in your power supply

My magic has always promoted the growth and health of plants... and it turns out that if you use your weapon constantly for five months, your powers grow very quickly. I've been boosting the plants here since we moved to moonbase, and my own collection since I arrived!

Not yet, I've largely been holed in and tinkering.

As nice as the climate looks...I'm from Southern California. I'm still not quite adapted to the chill.
