The afflicted finger rested upon my left hand. It is not so important as to hinder my ability to function upon being severed.

I understand him well enough, Christopher. This is what would make him happiest -- compared to reaching the realization that his trust in me and love were poorly placed, would it not be best for him to readjust to life as if I am not here? He would do well to forget me.
