Hello!

[when this video post starts, the focus is somewhere... around the top of her head. Colette's eyes widen as she notices that she's holding it too high, so the view suddenly jumps down (yep, she just over corrected). Nibbling on her lip a little, she tilts it higher again... perfect! Determined not to let the view vary she tries her best not to move it]

My name is Colette Brunel. I haven't talked to everyone like this yet, so... hello! It's really nice to meet you all.

I'm sorry to bother everyone like this, but I wanted to ask something. Even though we... don't live on Earth anymore [her gaze grows a mite somber as she talks about it] it still sounds like a very important world. A lot of people here come from Earth, and we're supposed to travel throughout Earth's history! I come from another world that is very different, so I would really like to learn more about Earth if I can.

And so... if anyone knows anything about Earth and has a little time to spare, I'd love to ask some questions! O-Or, if you would rather just tell me a few facts and not be asked any questions, that's okay too. Anything would be helpful.

[although, a thought strikes her] Ah! That doesn't mean that I don't want to talk to people if they're not from Earth. I'd like to hear about everyone's homes! They all sound really beautiful in their own way, and it would be nice to hear about many worlds.

[she pauses, and smiles sheepishly! She's not one to get shy, but she feels a little bad making requests like this when everyone is probably busy]

People can also travel to different planets this way. In fact, it's actually the reason why the colony fleets were created in the first place.

[She nods in agreement.]

But just because it's difficult doesn't mean it's impossible to achieve, right?

Oh, you're perfectly within your rights to say so! They'll be flattered to hear your praises, I'm sure.

[There's an amiable laugh out of her lips with a little flick of her wrist.]

No need for apologies, Colette. It's always good to talk about different things at once.
galactically: (sensual serenity)

[Aww, how cute. Cue Sheryl's affirmative nod.]

As a matter of fact, I was born there. I've visited many fleets and each of them are different from another. Take Macross Galaxy as an example. [A slight hand wave.] It's an industrialized chemical plant fleet known for its factories and cybernetic implants.

[A quick pause.]

Aah... think of them as special gadgets inserted into your brain to enhance whichever trait you have. But anyway, you don't really see any plants or oceans there at all. Frontier, on the other hand... [Her smile grows bigger and fonder.] It's beautiful! Lots of gorgeous, colorful lands. So many trees and an actual sea! It's actually filled with life there, with absolutely no slums in sight!
galactically: (aren't I just precious?)

My absolute favorite! I made a lot of precious memories there.

[Also the place where she actually made genuine friends and fell in love; she smiles fondly at her admittance.]

Oh, that reminds me, you never told me what your home is like, Colette. You can say it if you wish.
galactically: (fairy and cinderella)

My, it sounds like an utopian town from what you're describing. Very clean with nice people in sight, hmm?
galactically: (take a look)

No place is ever perfect, honestly, but it's better to live where you're comfortable in.
