[ Celestia isn't much up for speaking to any of the people here if she doesn't have to. She's already been forced to deal with roommates, so getting out of her room and finding a place to call her own space has been helpful in the past few days she's been here so far.

Still, she finds herself incredibly bored, now that she's caught up on all the information she needed to properly have an opinion on everything going on in this crazy place.

But Celes moves at her own pace, and her pace has pretty much nothing to do with helping anyone but herself. So: ]

Might anyone be willing to participate in a game of some kind? Chess/shogi/mahjong ... maybe even poker?

Well, they're not very popular in my world yet. They're not cheap to make compared to dice, so dice games are more common.

Shogi is a Japanese version of chess. Mahjong is a game played with tiles, though the rules often vary depending on who is playing.

Only if you have good methods for making paper en masse. That's a comparatively recent thing to basic woodworking, after all.

I would! I don't know some of those games, but I could play a card game or chess. I played that in school sometimes.

Shogi is very similar to chess, but it originates from Japan.

Mahjong is a four-player game using tiles with different pictures on them ... though the rules of that game vary greatly depending on where it is played and who it is played with.
