[Sango hates this. She hates the United Earth. She hates the modern technology that makes murder on such a scale possible. She hates the Initiative for being seemingly incapable of taking significant action, for doing nothing to guard against this in the months between the last bombing and now. She hates that it seems more and more like there's no other way to play this situation.

She hates hearing things like this that make vague sense in her head but can never, never overcome the fury in her heart.]

What is the point of being here, of fighting this war, if we can't even protect these people? I've been here months and I can see little these nonsensical time-travel missions have done. Apparently, we have a base on the moon, but not one big enough to save the people we're here for. Apparently, we have information, but not enough to stop a massacre unparalleled in size. So we keep going on these missions and getting more and more things that aren't good enough, aren't big enough. And we run away, but not far enough, because really--what's to stop them from attacking us there? They will find a way, I'm sure. And even if we do somehow find a way to go back and stop this from ever happening--which, apparently, we can't do now--will it be enough to return every single man and woman and child, will it be enough to make sure that this doesn't happen again?

When will we be enough? I am sick and tired of being told that things are changing for the better and only watching them get worse.

I'm sure that you yourself have good intentions. But I can't put my trust in an entity that so easily surrenders an entire people to extinction, precarious backup plan or not.
