I understand that there has been a rash of kidnappings recently... I'm also aware that people who return to their home worlds also disappear.

I've gotten a few responses and it seems there is a way to differentiate; the Intiative's network is apparently advanced enough to make note of who has been removed from the network and who hasn't.

[he still thinks their idea of pulling people in from other worlds and the UE's otherworldly raids are terrible ideas, but such is life]

Not the taken ones, those remain on the network though they cannot receive messages. I meant that those who a returned to their own world (for whatever reason) are noted as not registered.

... Though I agree. The Initiative's performance hasn't been on that inspires faith.

I suppose that makes sense. [ even if he doesn't understand the devices very well, he can at least get the logic behind that. ]

It seems for now we have no choice but to follow them, even if their path is mistaken. This is not how wars are won.
