[This post is super backdated to shortly after Tyki leaves Lavi's birthday party with a slice of cake. :)

The camera does not, in fact, open with a focus on Tyki's face. Rather, it's showing a picture of a nice-sized well-frosted slice of chocolate cake on a plate, with a fork resting alongside. Someone is singing, in a reasonable voice:]

Muitos anos de vida...

[The song trails off, and he laughs.]

This is delicious, by the way, compliments to the chef. The one bright side to this place is how many interesting things I get to eat! Kangaroo, cake... [Ill-gotten birthday cake...] ... and history. You know, they don't tell you that history is delicious.

[He laughs, and carries on with the song, though humming this time. It's to the tune of "happy birthday," by the by.

This carries on for about thirty seconds and then he gets tired of doing that and switches the video off.]

Well, it's a little hard to keep track with all the fuss to set up for a party, ( AND ALSO THE FUSS YOU CAUSED BRO??? ) but I think so.

Aah, there'll be so many dishes to clean up, too...

[Well, he sounds very normal now. Hardly liable to cause a fuss at all!]

No, no! I couldn't possibly ask you to when I can do it myself, especially not as one of the hosts.

I'm not sure what important things a dinosaur could have contributed to the modern world, but you know, those bookish types...

( it hasn't occurred to him that tyki wouldn't know that he and lenalee and caesar are roommates, and in any case he knows how easily housing assignments can be found out. it's the kind of quiet worry that gives him grief on new arrival days, but so far there's been no problems. )

At the party? I didn't know everyone there, but — yes, that's right.

It's not my cake to get upset about, honestly.

And pointless too, right? If the situation is that "you don't get along" then that's not so out of ordinary for people. Even I don't get along with everyone.
