[On screen is Halfpipe with a smile that lights up the whole of her blue-tattooed face. She's in what looks to be a seedier district of the city, but not many Exiles are around.]

This place gets more and more like my world every day.

[At which she shifts the camera to focus on a point behind her--what several people will recognize as one of Exsilium's brothels.]

I'm curious, guys. How different is it here, compared to your homes? And if it is different, is it in good ways or bad ones?

Oh, and I'm Halfpipe, by the way.

[That makes him smile.]

You are correct, in a way.

Mana is vital for everything in our world, from growing crops to using magic. Without it, even the water starts to dry up.

The World Tree. As the name suggest, it's a large tree that produces mana for the inhabitants of our world.

Correct. I have never seen it myself, but the consensus is that it must be, or grow to be, very large.

[Plus there are accounts of the tree germinating, going crazy and destroying a whole town. That says a great deal about its potential size.]

No. The original tree, the Kharlan tree, was killed a long time ago due to an overuse of mana during an ancient war. A new world tree recently came to life, so it's safe to assume it has not grown to its true height yet.

The mana left from that tree was still available. It did not vanish along with the tree, but it was now limited and shared between two worlds as a form of balancing out what was left of it.

[Oh he forgot not everyone here knows about that. He's a long way from Sybak.]

Correct. The two worlds were called Sylvarant and Tethe'alla. They recently merged, but for a vast amount of time they were separated.

Yes. Unfortunately, it was not possible to observe the other world fully so we had little information on it until the worlds merged.
