[The video flickers on upside-down for a moment before Spike flips it over after a little squinting. He looks pretty annoyed, slightly tired, and sort of disappointed with everything in general.]

Alright. I have a little question for you all, in case anyone knows for sure.

Does the sun in this godforsaken place ever come fully out at all? I hope it does. Because if this is really a whole new world, then I've finally found a place where the sun doesn't immediately set me on fire if I step into it. Or that's how it should work, anyway, I think. But then if it turns out that the sun barely shows up anyway... what good does that do?

[He makes a disgusted sound and waves a hand.] That would really make my day, wouldn't it. If it honestly is just all rain and gloom every day, that's another thing to strike out while I'm searching for one single redeeming quality that this bloody place has. That search is getting old very quickly, as a side-note.

Anyone have an answer?

I've chalked off three whole months here and haven't seen the sun except for when they sent us to the beach, so you might be safe — but it couldn't hurt to carry one of those black umbrellas around with you, anyway. It's not like it would clash with your image. Heh.

I'm safe from the sun anyway, umbrella or not. Only the sunlight in my own world hurts. I was hoping to finally get to feel it again in this place, but it looks like that's not gonna happen.

[Disappointed, but-- something he said catches his interest.] Three whole months?

Four... [He sounds vaguely defeated, momentarily lowering the tablet to cover his eyes for a second.] Oh, goody. Looks like everyone's stay here is a long one. I had my suspicions. Always so nice to be proved right.

It rains here a lot! We see the sun when we go on missions, though, and we just got back from like the Cretaceous. The sun there was intense!

But yeah it was awesome we were back in the time of the dinosaurs! We even saw them! I pet one!

I know about missions. I just didn't figure they would involve the cretaceous. Also, you are lucky you still have both hands if you decided to pet one.

Anyway, we go to all points in time. Sometimes you get pulled for a private mission too, which just means it's a small team they're sending in to a specific point in time.

It does, but you kind of figure out how to make it work as you go along. Anyway, we've also gotten the space ship working again, so up above the cloud cover, you definitely get to see the sun! It's pretty beautiful, if you get the chance to go up or anything. Talk about amazing!

Yeah. On a scale of 1 to 10, how overall depressing is it to live here? Because from what I'm seeing, I'm guessing a 7.5 at best.

That depends on your outlook! I say a definite 3. There are far worse places to be! And then on a day to day way, maybe some days are 9/10, but most are 5/10 at worst, and much better than that!
